Del City, OK : Moore officer injured after crashing patrol car during pursuit early Monday morning, February 22, 2016

A Moore police officer was injured after crashing his patrol car during a pursuit early Monday morning.

Authorities said the officer was chasing a suspect in a stolen vehicle around 1 a.m.

The officer crashed when another driver who was not involved in the chase turned in front of him near SE 29th Street and Sunnylane Road in Del City, police said.

The stolen car was found abandoned near NE 10th Street and Henney Road.

The suspect was not in the car and has not been caught.

The officer is expected to recover.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.
