CARROLL, IA : Pickup truck accident results in two deaths in Carroll County on Monday, 22nd January 2024

A pickup accident resulted in the death of two people on Monday, Jan. 22 at around 7:57 a.m.

The Iowa State Patrol said the accident took place south of 150th St. on Highway 71 between Carroll, Iowa and Auburn, Iowa.

The accident occurred when a southbound driver was traveling on Highway 71 and passed another southbound vehicle. As the driver returned to the southbound lane, the vehicle lost control and entered a ditch. The ISP says the pickup was stopped after hitting a MidAmerican electric pole.
