Two men were killed in a crash with a semi truck early Sunday in the southwest suburbs.

Eric R. Seely, 22, of Monee, and 27-year-old Daniel B. Ligas, of Tinely Park, were both pronounced dead at 6:20 a.m. Sunday at Wilmington-Peotone and Ceder roads in Manhattan Township, according to the Will County coroner’s Office.

Seely was the driver, while Ligas was the passenger in a vehicle that collided with the semi, the coroner’s office said.

Preliminary autopsy results Monday for Seely revealed multiple injuries due to the crash, the coroner’s office said. An autopsy for Ligas, who was identified by dental record comparisons, did not rule on his cause and manner of death, pending further studies.

The Will County sheriff’s office did not immediately provide additional details on the crash.
