Philadelphia, PA : Mother, 6-month-old and 5-year-old injured in hit-and-run crash on South Broad Street in Philadelphia on Tuesday, February 2, 2016

The search continues for the driver who struck a mother and her two children in South Philadelphia.

The hit and run happened at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday along South Broad Street near Dickinson.

One surveillance camera caught the car barreling into the victims.

"We said, 'Whoa, what's going on?' That car shot down here, and kept going. It knew it did something wrong when it shot out of there," Reverend Paul 'Earthquake' Moore said.

Moore saw the moments after the crash.

He immediately stopped his city sanitation route to help.

"The little girl had all these abrasions on her face, a whole lot of them, but the mother was over on the ground. I said, 'My name is Reverend Paul 'Earthquake' Moore, I'm here to comfort you, but I'm going to take your baby out of the harness so you won't roll over on the baby and suffocate the baby,'" Moore said.

Police are reviewing multiple surveillance cameras that catch the driver speeding away.

Police say the mother was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Her 6-month-old and a 5-year-old children were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital. There was no word on their conditions.

"If I wasn't working for the city and was off, I would have went to the hospital with her. I had to do God's will and evidently God had me at the right place at the right time," Moore said.

Police have retrieved the car's passenger mirror.
