A motorcyclist has been charged after hitting a special needs school bus in Spartanburg County Monday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol website said the crash happened on East Victor Hill Road at Interstate 85 at 7:16 a.m.
Troopers said the motorcyclist took a turn too fast, fell off the bike and the bike slid into the bus. The motorcyclist was charged with driving too fast for conditions, although Highway Patrol said he was not speeding.
Spartanburg District 5 representative Melissa Robinette said a special needs bus carrying three students was involved.
She said no one on the bus was injured.
The motorcyclist was able to walk away from the crash, troopers said.
