Waterbury, CT : Driver injured in collision with school bus in Waterbury on Tuesday morning, April 5, 2016

The driver of an auto was injured after a collision with a school bus Tuesday morning, officials said.

The accident occurred at the corner of Thomaston Avenue and Homer Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Fire Chief David Martin. Police say the bus was changing lanes into the path of the car when the vehicles collided.

Officials said there were about seven students from Wilby High School on bus number 15, and all said they were uninjured.

The driver of the Nissan sustained, minor unspecified injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
