A 71-year-old motorcyclist died Friday in a crash on Stephanie Road, south of Russell Road, according to Henderson police.

First responders were called to the crash about 3:45 p.m., city spokeswoman Michelle French said.

The man died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center about four hours later, she said.

The man lost control of his 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he failed to "negotiate a curb," she said. He struck a construction barrier and flipped over it.

Speed and alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash, French said.
