AKRON, OH : 1 dead, 2 injured in overnight crash on Saturday, 23rd December 2023

Akron police are investigating after an overnight crash killed a woman and injured two men. Police say the accident happened at around 4:48 a.m. at Andrus Street and Station Avenue. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a car flipped on its side and three occupants trapped inside. The Akron Fire Department extracted the occupants from the car, where they found a 31-year-old woman in the front passenger seat who had died. The woman's identity has not yet been released.

The 18-year-old driver and a 38-year-old man, who was a rear passenger, were taken to local hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
