Spartanburg, SC : Jonathan Caleb Greene, 19, dies in single vehicle accident on Highway 92 in Spartanburg on Friday night, Aug 7, 2015

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a 19-year-old was killed in a crash on Friday night.

Troopers said the crash happened on S.C. HWY 92 around 9:45 p.m. on Friday.

A 19-year-old from Enoree driving a 2001 GMC vehicle was traveling east on HWY 92 when he ran off the left side of the road and lost control. He then over-corrected and ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned, according to troopers.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. Troopers said he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The coroner identified Jonathan Caleb Greene, 19, of Whitmore Road in Enoree, as the driver of vehicle. The coroner said speed and alcohol were determining factors in the crash.

The coroner said the cause of dead was multi-body trauma, secondary to ejection from the vehicle with underpinning.
