Stark, NH : 17-year-old dead after canoe capsizes on South Pond overnight on Saturday 27 2016.

A 17-year-old boy is dead after a canoe capsized on South Pond in Stark early Saturday morning.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, four young men decided to take a canoe out onto the pond in front of the vacation house where they were staying.
Fish and Game Sgt. Mark Ober said they did not have life preservers.
Three of the occupants were able to swim to shore to call for help, officials said.
First responders searched the water for the fourth person and recovered his body just after 8 a.m.
The victim was identified as 17-year-old Syed Mansoor Bilal. He had recently moved to Bedford with his family from Pinckneyville, Illinois. Bilal enrolled to be a senior at Bedford High School on Friday.
The cause of the accident is under investigation but officials found alcohol and drug paraphernalia at the scene and said that may have been a contributing factor.
