Rowan County, N.C : Several people injured in a crash on Interstate 85 south in Rowan County Monday afternoon, November 3, 2014

Three children and two adults were injured in a crash on Interstate 85 south in Rowan County Monday afternoon. The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 78 in the Spencer area. According to the Highway Patrol, the driver of a Ford Explorer lost control of the SUV and ran off the road. The SUV turned over several times before coming to a stop. Three children were in safety seats in the back of the SUV and there were two adults in the front. One adult was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, the other was flown to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The children were also take to the hospital. Conditions are not known.
