Cincinnati, OH :Police arrest woman in fatal motorcycle crash on I-71 on Monday, July 6th 2015

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on northbound Interstate 71 Monday.The crash happened near Kennedy Avenue shortly after 5 p.m.The motorcyclist was identified as Darren MacMillan, 51, of Cincinnati.Officials said Galit Shamay, 46, of Owensboro, Kentucky rear-ended MacMillan's motorcycle. MacMillan was ejected off his motorcycle as a result of the collision, police said.Police said MacMillan was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.Shamay was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter. She is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.Investigators said alcohol, speed or drugs aren't considered factors in the crash.The crash remains under investigation.
