Munster, IN : A 29-year-old man is dead following an accident on Saturday, July 22, 2017

A 29-year-old man is dead following an accident shortly before noon along U.S. 12, just west of County Line Road in Gary, according to the Lake County coroner's office.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released pending notification of family, died as a result of blunt force trauma, officials said.

The man was pronounced dead at 12:19 p.m., the coroner's office said.
