Ewen, MI : Indiana man dies in Michigan snowmobile crash on Monday, January 19. 2015

An Indiana man is dead after a snowmobile crash in Ontonagon County. This happened on January 19, on Trail #8, east of Ewen.

The Michigan State Police in Wakefield say the driver, 38 year-old Chad E. Kiefer, of Lafayette, Indiana, failed to negotiate a curve. The snowmobile left the embankment, hit the roadway, crossed M-28, and then continued across the road.

Speed and alcohol are considered factors in the crash. Further details on the crash may be released as the police continue their investigation.
