Somerset, MA : Fall River Man Arrested on OUI Charges After Fatal Accident on Saturday night, November 29, 2014

One man is dead after being struck by a car near the Braga Bridge on I-195 West. Massachusetts State Police say the person was walking on the highway near exit 4B just west of the bridge before he was hit by a car around 8:30 Saturday night. The pedestrian, identified as 43-year-old Robert Pavao of Fall River, later died from his injuries on scene. The driver, 55-year-old Horacio Goncalo of Fall River, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol. He will not face any additional charges at this time.
