GREEN RIVER, UT : 1 dead in Emery County semitruck collision on Tuesday, 30th April 2019

One person was killed as a result of a "near head-on" collision between two semitrucks that closed U.S. Highway 6 between Price and Green River for several hours Tuesday morning, officials said.

A westbound semitruck crossed the center line near the town of Woodside about 3:55 a.m. and hit an eastbound semitruck, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The driver of the westbound semitruck died. Injuries to the driver of the eastbound vehicle are not life-threatening, UHP said. The co-driver of the eastbound semitruck was not injured.
