SAC COUNTY, IA : 2 dead in Sac County crash on Wednesday, February 15th 2017

A man and woman are dead following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sac County Road M84 and 280th Street, southwest of Sac City, according to Iowa State Patrol crash reports.

The crash occurred Tuesday morning.

William Fewell, 73, of Lake View, was traveling northbound in a Dodge pickup.

Fewell reportedly lost control on the frost-covered road as he went around the curve on M84.

His vehicle crossed the center line and struck a semitrailer driven by Maxwell Stall, 42, of Lytton.

Peggy Behrens, 65, of Lake View, was a passenger in Stall’s vehicle.

Behrens was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

Fewell was transported by Mercy Air Care to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines where he later died.

Stall was not injured in the crash.
