Perry Township, OH : Single car crash kills one in Stark County on Thursday, December 25, 2014

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single car crash that happened Thursday on 12th Street just west of Genoa Avenue around 2:30 a.m. in Perry Township in Stark County.

Police said 50-year-old Joseph Vender of Massillon went off of the side of the road then crashed a 2005 Ford F-150 that struck several trees before overturning.

Reports say that Vender was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Vender was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol use is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
