Oskaloosa, KS : Man injured after crashing car during police chase in Jefferson County on Wednesday night , March 8, 2017

A police chase late Wednesday in Jefferson County ended when the vehicle being pursued crashed, sending the driver of that car to a Topeka hospital.

The crash was reported at 9:39 p.m. on US-59 highway about 1 mile south of Oskaloosa.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am was southbound on US-59 attempting to elude a Jefferson County sheriff’s cruiser.

The Pontiac left the roadway just south of Buck Creek Road and rolled multiple times in the ditch, according to the patrol.

The driver of the Pontiac, identified as Jimeal S. Glover, 26, of Kansas City, Kan., was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for injuries he sustained in the crash. The patrol said Glover was wearing a seat belt.

Additional details, including Glover’s condition, weren’t available Thursday morning.
