LEON COUNTY, TX : A one-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate Highway 45 on Wednesday, 19th July 2023

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a single-vehicle crash on Interstate Highway 45.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on July 13, the driver of a Ford Excursion was traveling northbound when the rear tire blew out.

DPS said the SUV veered off the roadway and rolled.

Sarah Maake, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene by Leon County Justice of the Peace Randee Doak.
