Caledonia, WI : 49-year-old man died sustained in a single-vehicle car accident on Friday August 8th 2014

A 49-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle car accident that took place in Caledonia Friday night, TMJ4 reported. Michael Johnson of Racine was traveling westbound on 4 Mile Road, just east of Highway 31, when his car crossed the centerline and onto the shoulder of the south side of the road. The car went airborne after striking a drainage culvert and then hit a tree. Johnson was the only person in the car. Firefighters worked for more than 20 minutes to free Johnson from the wreckage. A Flight for Life helicopter then transported him to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, were he later died. Caledonia police are still investigating the accident and awaiting autopsy results.
