2 Christian Co. High School Students Killed In Crash
Two Christian County high school students were killed Friday in a collision.
The crash occurred on the Bluegrass Barkway in Anderson County, Kentucky. Two 17-year-old students from Christian County High School were killed in the crash.
Specific details of the collision were not immediately known but police said the students' truck somehow crashed into the back of a semi-truck.
They were reportedly on their way back from one of the sweet sixteen basketball games.
"We want to extend our heartfelt sympathy to parents, relatives, classmates and staff members of our four students tragically involved in last night's accident," Principle Michael Stevenson said in a statement. "We were saddened to receive the news that two of our students have passed."
Two other students were also injured in the crash. Their condition was not known.
The school said counselors will be providing grief counseling at the school in the days to come.
