Rough Morning Commute Due To Accident And Rain

An early morning accident involving an overturned tractor trailer around 215am on I-77 S near Clanton Road, exit 7, resulted in lane closures and created heavy congestion during the morning commute until about 850am.

State Troopers confirmed that they were working nine additional accidents on I-77 S, I-485 and I-277 this morning.At one point, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police responded to more than 25 accidents, many attributed to the wet streets.
