Collier County ,FL : Two men flee after crash on Saturday afternoon ,July 25th 2015

A Naples man is out of jail after he allegedly drove drunk, crashed his car and ran from the scene.

The crash happened on Radio Road and Davis Boulevard around 3:46 p.m. Saturday.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 22-year-old Guidin Garcia Rueda was driving down Radio Road toward Davis Boulevard.

The vehicle lost control and jumped the median. The car struck a sign and continued going east across opposite lanes of traffic before crashing into a ditch.

Troopers say Garcia Rueda and his passenger, 38-year-old Lemos Santos, then ran into a nearby wooded area.

One witness says she saw a baby’s car seat in the back and feared the worst.

“It freaked me out because I have kids of my own. I was just screaming where’s the baby? Where’s the baby? Nobody would answer,” said the witness.

Troopers say there was no child in the car. Investigators used K9 units to track down the two men.

Garcia Rueda was charged with two counts of DUI with property damage, having no driver’s license, leaving the scene of the crash, open container and careless driving.
