Hibbing, MN : Zim, Minnesota man, injured in a single vehicle crash near Hibbing on Monday, March 27, 2017

A Zim, Minnesota man, injured in a crash near Hibbing on Monday, has died.

50-year-old Everett Beach was identified as a man involved in a single vehicle crash on County Road 5.

Beach was a 12 year standing volunteer firefighter for the McDavitt Volunteer Fire Department.

Officials say his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on Highway 5 north of Highway 169.

Beach was life flighted to a Duluth hospital where he died.

McDavitt Fire Chief, Stan Sokoloski was emotional when speaking of his fellow fireman. He said he was still in shock over the incident. He wrote a note to break the news to some of the volunteers who hadn't yet heard about Beach's death.
