Jasper, TX : Two people killed in head-on collision on Highway 63 in Jasper County on Thursday morning, March 10, 2016

Two people are dead tonight following a two-vehicle crash in Jasper County.

Investigators say shortly before 9 a.m., the driver of a Toyota pickup truck, Jeffery Kiser, 23, of Jasper, was traveling north on Highway 63 near RR 255, when his vehicle crossed the center line and slid into the southbound lane and struck Ford pickup truck head-in.

Kiser crashed into the other pickup, driven by John Neyland, 51, of Kountze.

Neyland died at the scene and a passenger, Jerry Herrin, 38, of Jasper, died at CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Kiser was transported to the hospital. Investigators say his injuries aren't life threatening.
