GLENDALE, AZ : 11-car crash on Loop 101 leaves 3 hospitalized in Glendale on Thursday, 27th June 2024

A chain-reaction crash involving nearly a dozen vehicles caused a massive backup for drivers during the morning commute on Thursday.

According to Department of Public Safety troopers, 11 vehicles crashed on the eastbound lanes of the Loop 101 Agua Fria near 67th Avenue just before 7:30 a.m. Troopers say speeding and distraction contributed to the collision.

Three people were hospitalized but their injuries are unknown at this time.

Traffic cameras in the area show at least ten cars damaged.
