Rock Island, IL : Woman identified in fatal crash at 13th Street and 7th Avenue on Tuesday, 28th April, 2020

A woman died Tuesday night during a vehicle crash in Rock Island.

The crash happened about 9:54 p.m. at 13th Street and 7th Avenue, according to the Rock Island Police Department. Diana S. Johnson, 31, Rock Island, was driving when her vehicle struck several light poles and street signs before hitting a tree in the 1200 block of 7th Avenue.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The investigation into the crash was ongoing Wednesday.
