Wytheville, VA : 2 Adults, Infant Killed in Fiery Wreck on I-77 in Wythe County on Sunday, May 10, 2015
Police have identified two adults and an infant who died after a fiery wreck in Wythe County.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says a northbound FJ Cruiser driven by 45-year-old Anthony J. Asbury of Wytheville crossed the median and struck a southbound Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro was then hit by a southbound Toyota Camry. The impact of the crash sparked a fire.
Geller said Monday in a news release that Asbury was transported to a hospital where he later died. The Camaro's driver, 28-year-old Shan B. Martens of Bassett, and her 9-month-old daughter, Bria S. Hensley, were declared dead at the hospital.
The driver of the Camry, 66-year-old Peter InterDonato, and a passenger, 61-year-old Beverly InterDonato of Ripley, West Virginia, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
