Medford, OR : A 46-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on North Phoenix on Sunday, October, 15th 2017
A 46-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on North Phoenix Road and Princeton Way Sunday morning, according to the Medford Police Department.
Cpl. Josh Schilder said the man reportedly struck a curb and was thrown into a tree while riding northbound on North Phoenix Road. Police responded to the scene at 11:03 a.m.
The man was given CPR at the scene and transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center. Police announced his death shortly after on Facebook.
Schilder said investigators determined that it was a single-vehicle accident and that speed wasn’t a factor.
“He was wearing a helmet at the time.” Schilder said. “But we still don’t know much other than that — it’s an ongoing investigation.”
Schilder said police are still waiting to hear back from the victim’s next of kin before releasing his name.
