Independence County, AR : Pedestrian injured after hit by car on Highway 157, outside of Pleasant Plains on Friday night, April 7, 2017

One person was airlifted Friday night after a crash in Independence County.
Sheriff Shawn Stephens told Region 8 News it happened along Sunny Dale Road off of Highway 157, just outside of Pleasant Plains.
Stephens said the pedestrian was hit and injured, then airlifted from the scene.
Arkansas State Police has taken over the crash investigation.
