Utica, NY : Two killed in snowmobile accident in Lewis County Sunday on Sunday, February 18th 2017

Two people were killed after a head-on snowmobile accident on the Glenfield and Western railroad bed in West Turin, deputies said.

Jay Isabelle, 48, of Oneida, and Jesse Rosebush, 21, of Jordan, were ejected off of their snowmobiles and pronounced dead on the scene by the Lewis County Coroner's Office, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Sunday.

Rosebush was traveling east when he failed to keep right and struck Isabelle head on, deputies said.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the accident.
