PELHAM, NH : Woman hit by car in Pelham on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018
Police in Pelham are investigating a pedestrian versus car crash Wednesday night.
At 6:07 p.m., Pelham police and firefighters responded to 89 Nashua Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Officers identified the pedestrian as Nina Perednia, 53, of Methuen, Massachusetts. Perednia was transported to Lowell General Hospital in Massachusetts with non-life-threatening injuries.
In their investigation, officers determined Perednia had just been involved in a minor accident on Nashua Road after suffering mechanical issues with her vehicle. After the accident, she attempted to walk across Nashua Road, at which point she was struck by a silver 2007 Honda According driven by a George Maxfield, 65, of Manchester.
The accident remains under investigation, but charges are not expected against Maxfield.
This was the fifth motor vehicle accident Pelham police responded to Wednesday night.
