Okanogan County, WA : Man dies in rollover crash in Okanogan County on Friday, 6th December, 2019

A man died Friday morning in a rollover crash on a highway in Okanogan County that involved no other vehicles.

The Washington State Patrol did not release the man’s name Friday, as it was waiting to notify his family, but said he was a 43-year-old Tonasket resident.

The man was driving a 2001 Land Rover Discovery II north on Highway 155 when he crashed about 6 miles north of Nespelem.

The WSP said the SUV “left the roadway to the right for an unknown reason, traveled approximately 75 yards and struck rocks” before reentering the roadway and rolling over twice.

The crash was reported at about 9:40 a.m. and the man, who had been wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the WSP. Troopers were investigating whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
