Biloxi, MS : 23-year-old man dies in when car leaves highway, slams tree in Stone County on early Thursday, September 18, 2014

Authorities in Stone County say a 23-year-old man died early Thursday after his car ran off Mississippi Highway 15 and slammed into a pine tree. Investigators tell that the car driven by Ryan Boyd of Perkinston was traveling at high speed when it left the roadway and nearly disintegrated in the crash. The Stone County coroner's office says alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the accident. Investigators say the crash happened around 1 a.m. near the Stone County-Harrison County line.
