Orlando, FL : Florida parents die in car crash, teen daughter survives on Tuesday, 4th December 2018

Two parents died after a car plowed into their sedan in Orlando, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The married couple’s 14-year-old daughter was injured but survived.

The couple’s death come after a speeding 2014 Cadillac crashed into their 2017 Kia at around 8:41 p.m. Robert Rojas Ospina and his wife Liliana Galvez Cardona, both 47, were stopped at Barley Club Drive when the Cadillac driver lost control going south on Orange Blossom Trail.

That’s when the driver— 32-year-old Kevon David — hit a curb and plowed into the family of three, FHP spokeswoman Lt. Kim Montes said.

According to Montes, Ospina died on impact and his wife died at a nearby hospital. Their daughter, who was in the back seat, was taken to a seperate hospital in stable condition.

Police say David suffered minor injuries and that speed was a factor.

“The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against the driver,” Montes said.
