High school cheerleader, 15, killed in car crash that injures fellow teen driver

A 15-year-old cheerleader was tragically killed on her way home from a high school dinner when her vehicle driven by a friend suddenly veered off the road.

Taylor Darveau, a freshman at Bucksport High School in Maine, was killed after the car driven by Samantha Goode, 16, smashed into a roadside tree Thursday evening.

The two girls had just attended a dinner for their school's football players and cheerleaders when around 6:20 p.m. police say their 1999 Subaru station wagon left the road in Bucksport.
