LONDON GROVE TOWNSHIP, PA : 2 Injured After Crash Involving Two Tractor-Trailers on Route 1, near Guernsey Road on Monday, 3rd June 2019

Two people were injured after a crash involving two tractor-trailers in London Grove Township, Chester County. The collision happened northbound on Route 1, near Guernsey Road, just after 4 a.m. Monday.

Pennsylvania State Police say a tractor-trailer rolled onto its side on Route 1. That’s when a second tractor-trailer was unable to stop and crashed into it, ejecting the driver and trapping the driver in the rolled over vehicle. Officials say that driver was heavily entrapped for over 20 minutes.Both victims were transported to Christiana Hospital.

The Route 1 by-pass is closed northbound between Route 796 and Route 841 while authorities investigate. Traffic is being detoured onto Baltimore Pike through West Grove Borough.
