PHOENIX,AZ : Police investigating serious hit-and-run crash near GCU campus on Wednesday, 8th November 2023

A 29-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car Wednesday morning near Grand Canyon University's campus in Phoenix.

Phoenix police say they were called to the area of 35th Avenue and Camelback Road in west Phoenix around 4:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found Habimana Ciza who had serious injuries, he was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police say Ciza was walking along Camelback Road when he was hit.
