Portage, WI : 34-year-old Wautoma man killed and two others injured in alcohol-involved crash on Interstate 90 in Columbia County on Saturday, Nov 28, 2015
A 34-year-old Wautoma man was killed and two others were hurt after a crash involving alcohol and speed Saturday on Interstate 90 in Columbia County.
The incident happened about 3 a.m. near Portage, according to a Wisconsin State Patrol news release. Officials say a Chevy Malibu was traveling west on the interstate when it left the road, went into the median and overturned several times.
The 34-year-old Wautoma man was a passenger in the front seat and was thrown from the vehicle. A second passenger, a 33-year-old Plainfield man, had serious injuries and was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive. The driver, a 25-year-old Friendship man, was taken to a hospital and is also expected to survive.
The men's names were not released. Alcohol and speed are believed to factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
