Savannah, GA : Boy hit by car while riding bicycle, police searching for driver on Wednesday June 25th 2014
Police in coastal Georgia are searching for a driver who hit a child riding a bicycle and fled the scene.
Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police spokesman Julian Miller said in a statement that an 11-year-old boy was hospitalized at Memorial University Medical Center Wednesday after being hit by a car while riding his bike in the parking lot of a Home Depot store.
Police say the boy's injuries aren't life threatening.
Authorities say they're searching for a silver Nissan Altima with tinted windows that had prior damage to the right side of its rear bumper.
