Delhi, LA : 45-year-old woman died in a one car accident on Highway 557 in Madison Parish on Tuesday afternoon October 28th 2014

Authorities say a 45-year-old woman died in a one car accident on Louisiana Highway 557 in Madison Parish north of Delhi. Senior Trooper Michael Reichardt says a car driven by Karen Soares of Delhi was southbound on Highway 557 Tuesday afternoon when it veered off the road, rolled over several times, before coming to rest in a field. Reichardt says Soares was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected. He says Soares was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison Parish Coroner. The crash remains under investigation.
