A low-speed pursuit following a hit-and-run Sunday night ended when the driver collided with an Albemarle County police patrol car.
According to police, Brittany E. Cole, 19, of Louisa County, fled the scene of a multi-vehicle wreck in the 900 block of Monacan Trail (U.S. 29) at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday.Police pursued the vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Monacan Trail at about 25 to 30 mph, until it collided head-on with a police cruiser in the 3300 block of Monacan Trail.
There were no serious injuries to either Cole or the officer, police said.
