Loveland, CO : Man dies in motorcycle accident on US 34 east of the Larimer County line on Thursday, September 22, 2016

Colorado State Patrol troopers responded to a motorcycle crash that killed a 26-year-old man around 7 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 34 just east of the Larimer County line.

According to Trooper Joshua Lewis, Joseph Cannon of Evans was riding a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle when the crash occurred.

No other vehicles or people were involved.

"He was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies," Lewis said. "He ultimately succumbed to his injuries."

Lewis added the crash is still under investigation and that he hopes to have additional information to release Thursday afternoon.

Jolene Weiner, Weld County Chief Deputy Coroner, is handling the case.
