Nortonville, KY : 21-year-old woman passenger injured in rollover crash in near Nortonville Road on Tuesday October 13 2015
A woman was transported to the hospital after being ejected from a vehicle during a solo rollover collision Tuesday afternoon on Kirker Pass Road, police said.
Officers responded to a report of an overturned white 1999 BMW 323i around 3:35 p.m. on the right shoulder of Kirker Pass Road, near Nortonville Road, said California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Simmons.
The 21-year-old woman passenger was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries, said CHP Officer John Fransen. She was transported by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
The driver, a 26-year-old Walnut Creek man, was transported to the hospital to be evaluated for his minor injuries, said Contra Costa County Fire Inspector Steve Aubert.
Debris flew off the BMW as it overturned and collided into a red Ford Fusion, Fransen said. No other injuries were reported.
Witnesses told police that the BMW may have been driving recklessly before the rollover crash, he said. No charges were filed pending investigation.
