A UPS driver was hospitalized alongside another driver after a wreck Thursday night on S.C. Highway 34 in Greenwood County, according to trooper Joe Hovis with the Highway Patrol.
At about 7 p.m. Thursday, a UPS truck driver was trying to back the truck into a driveway along Highway 34, near Gantt Road, Hovis said. The truck became disabled, he said, and another vehicle crested a nearby hill and struck the UPS truck just behind the driver’s-side door.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Hovis said, and neither had passengers.
