Gaines Township, MI : Swartz Creek man killed in Gaines crash on Tuesday, 20th August 2019

Terry Johnson, 47, of Swartz Creek was killed in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 20 in Gaines Township.
According to Special 1st Lt. David Kaiser of the Michigan State Police, Johnson was thrown from his vehicle after it flipped over following a crash in the 7000 block of Reid Road, just west of Elms Road in Gaines Township.
Police and first responders were dispatched to the crash site at 12:50 a.m. Kaiser said Johnson’s vehicle overturned several times and came to rest in a ditch. Johnson was soon located and pronounced deceased at the site.Kaiser said nearby residents were questioned about the crash. Witnesses reported hearing the crash but did not see any other vehicles involved.

The crash remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
