Aspinwall, PA : 2 injured in crash near Hempfield Area High School on Friday, 9th September 2016

At least two people were injured in a two-car crash near Hempfield Area Senior High School, according to Westmoreland County emergency dispatch.

The crash happened at 8:32 a.m. at the intersection of Bus Garage Road and Middletown Road, and at least one of the people involved had to be extricated by emergency responders, a Westmoreland 911 dispatcher said.

Dispatchers did not know the extent of the injuries, but at least one patient was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.
