TORRINGTON, CT : Three injured, one critically, in Torrington crash on Tuesday, 20th November 2018

Torrington Police responded to the scene of a head-on car crash that left one person in critical condition and two others with serious injuries Tuesday afternoon.

The crash on Goshen Road happened around 12:45 p.m. and left a stretch of the roadway between Lovers Lane and Klug Hill Road closed to traffic.

Lifestar Helicopter was called to transport victims but couldn’t get to the scene due to bad weather conditions, Sgt. Mark Cattey said. A total of three patients were transported by Campion Ambulance, according to fire officials.

Rain throughout the afternoon left the roads slippery and skies cloudy.

The three victims, one of whom suffered life threatening injuries, were taken to a nearby hospital. Their names have not yet been released.
