BLOWING ROCK, NC : One hospitalized after wreck on Parkway on Tuesday 18th October 2016

A motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Watauga Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after his Honda rear-ended a Toyota Rav 4 on the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Julian Price Lake Overlook (Milepost 296).
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18. No one in the Toyota suffered any injuries.
According to park rangers for the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Toyota was stopped on the Parkway waiting to make a left turn into the parking lot of the Price Lake Overlook, and the motorcycle failed to stop in time, colliding with the rear end with the Toyota.
Rangers are continuing their investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
